Story:
Ganesh (Ram) is a happy go lucky young man. He agrees to act as if
he is in love with Divya (Kajal Aggarwal) as he wants to help his
friend who wants to avoid marrying her niece Divya as he is already
in love with another girl. The boy's father Kasi Viswanath is
adamant that his son marry only his sister Sudha's daughter Divya.
Ganesh takes a flat opposite Divya's and starts following her. He
befriends the kids in the apartments and with their help slowly
makes friends with Divya and she slowly falls in love with Ganesh.
Just when everything is going smoothly, Divya learns that Ganesh is
not in love with her but is only faking love. She is naturally angry
and stops meeting Ganesh.
Ganesh asks Divya to give him just five minutes in order to convince
her and if she still does not believe him then he will never bother
her again. Can Ganesh manage to convince Divya that he is now
sincerely in love with her? How does the film end finally? Answers
to these can be found on the silver screen.
Performance:
Ram comes up with a much improved performance in Ganesh. He shows
great ease in acting and also dances and fights well. His superman
antics along with the kids will appeal to the young audience
immensely. Ram also shares a good chemistry with Kajal and they make
a good pair on screen.
Kajal looks every bit the hard headed girl that she portrays. She
compliments Ram very well and they together manage to run the entire
show. Kajal is sure to climb up the ladder in Tollywood after
Magadheera and now Ganesh.
Ashish Vidyarthi plays the villain but he is more of a comic villain
than a real menacing bad guy. Brahmanandam raises a few laughs in
his role as a gang leader Yadagiri. Kasi Viswanath, Sudha, Sameer
and others plays largely guest roles and do a decent job. The kids
also did a good job.
Mickey J Meyer's music is good and a couple of songs are set to very
fast beats and will appeal to the youngsters immensely.
Ganesh is a clean and decent romantic entertainer. The film is more
like a childrens film rather than a teenage love story.
Ganesh has something for everyone. The film should do reasonably
well at the box office this festive season.
