Aadukalam is not usual cinema
Dhanush starrer Aadukalam is building up
steadily among much speculation. Director Vettrimaran and Dhanush have
already set the screen on fire with Polladhavan and their next venture
Aadukalam is also expected to make it big.
Speaking about the film, the director said that this is not a usual
hero, heroine, villain story. He says this story is different and it
does not reflect the positive and negative aspects in the characters,
like the customary cinema. The audience will be in for a surprise if
they come with an expectation to watch a habitual Tamil film.
Vettrimaran also stated that the delay between his last film and his
latest venture is because he took time to study Madurai. The movie is
set in the backdrop of Madurai, where Dhanush plays the lead while
Trisha plays Anglo-Indian lover. Writer VIS Jayabalan and Kishore also
are in the cast. The second schedule of the film is progressing in
Madurai
* Judge asks
Vadivelu for explanation
The clash between Vadivelu and Vijaykanth’s
manager Sathish Kumar is a known fact. It is also well known that Vadivelu apart
from filing a complaint at the Virugambakkam Police station has also given media
interviews openly challenging Vijaykanth in the political front.
Likewise, Sathish Kumar also had lodged a complaint but no action was taken in
this regard. Based on this, Sathish had filed a petition, which was rejected, at
the Saidapet court seeking action against Vadivelu and 14 others. Following
this, Sathish appealed to the High Court, alleging that the police are
proceeding with the case filed by Vadivelu against him.
The appeal was heard by Justice Jayapal who ordered Vadivelu, Marimuthu and 14
others to reply on this issue within two weeks time.
* Guru Shishiyan to be remade?
Sundar C is likely to star in another remake film after he finishes his commitments with Vettu. Sathyaraj has already Okayed the project and Sakthi Chidambaram will be the director of this new venture, which is likely to be titled Guru Shishiyan. It is also believed that the movie will have only the name in common and nothing else. Sundar C’s Iythampadai, Murattukalai and Veattu are also in the line waiting to be released.
* Suriya's mass adoption
Suriya’s Agaram Foundation has been
pioneering the cause of education among the deprived children. The
actor’s latest initiative is that he had adopted about fifty children
living in the various Sri Lakan refugee camps in the state. The
foundation has earmarked Rs. 25 lakhs every year for the cause. In
addition to this, the foundation has adopted 100 students from various
villages to impart job-oriented courses.
The Sivakumar Education Trust, which completed its 30th year of
existence, celebrated the fete by awarding Rs. 10,000 to 30 students
who had scored high marks in the HSC exams. The Trust also handed over
Rs. 10,000 to three top scorers of the Little Flower School.
